Mixed Reactions to South Carolina’s New Logo

The University of South Carolina has introduced a new logo (at right). Reactions are mixed, with some students and alumni skeptical of the dominant “of” in the logo, which fans see as better distinguishing the university from the University of Southern California, which also goes by USC.

The Post and Courier reported on the various critiques of the new logo.

The university has noted the new logo joins others (below), which some critics of the new logo appear to prefer.
